In many ways, this is probably the album I've always wanted to to make - mellow, yet powerful guitar driven and synth embellished alternative-style music with an edge and lots of atmosphere. This album here is a collection of both new songs and re-recordings of songs I originally composed many years ago. What binds all these songs together is that they are built on a guitar tuning that I invented back when I was 19 or 20, and thus far, have never come across anyone else using this special tuning. It gives the guitar both a bright and mysterious sounds, with the majority of open chords not quite being either major or minor. Here, it's easy to hear my early inspirations - The Cure and the Cocteau Twins - two bands that made we want to learn to play the guitar and make captivating, mysterious music with layers of atmosphere, driving bass, and textured synth sounds. It's a pleasure to make these songs available. For me, it's a treat, and I hope it is for listeners, as well.
